01:08 pm - A sudden change... ::sitting in office, dictating latest daily report:: ...been no change in his condition. Although that means he remains stable, it also means he has made no progress. I have researched human data concerning comatose patients and have learned this can go on for many years. I have spoken to Commander Tucker and he has assigned some of his engineering crew to alter the Admiral's quarters onboard to accomodate his needs while in his current condition. His transfer should take place at some point tomorrow afternoon. ::switches to next file on monitor:: Dr. Paris is making headway on her plans to work toward ::head jerks around when hears alarms going off at Forrest's bedside, accessing monitor information....... :: Why would his vitals drop so suddenly? What's going on..... ::jumps up from behind desk and rushes into sickbay proper heading straight to Forrest's bedside, almost colliding with sam_nightnurse as she responds as well:: Let's get him stabilized NOW! 15mls of epinephrine STAT! 03:15 pm - CMO's logs ::stands close to biobed as takes scans and correlates information coming in:: Computer, record log. ::small chirp from computer to indicate is activated, sounds:: I have been studying the female brought in earlier by medics. Her shoulder injury was apparently caused by a phase type weapon not dissimiliar to our own. The tissue damage was nothing serious and is healing nicely. The patient remains unconscious at this time, resulting in the fact that I have not had the opportunity to speak with her yet. Crewman Kelly had no information to help enlighten me as to the circumstances surrounding our newest visitor's arrival on this ship. Kelley's entire report consisted of, "She appeared and collapsed". I have contacted the Captain and Lt. Foster as to the visitors presence on the ship. The current plan is to continue to scan this being that so far shows to be human and determine were and when she belongs. Computer end log. ::finishes speaking and gazes down on the features of the unconscious woman on the biobed:: As to whom she belongs......well that I will continue to research but DNA results are surprising. You would think I would be growing accustomed to this type revelation. Current Mood: curious

12:16 pm - Log Entry ::walks into office with cup of tea in hands:: ::sits behind desk:: Computer begin log; As recorded in my earlier daily reports Lt. Commander Reed gave birth, by ceasarean section, six days ago to twins. Both children are extremely healthy and growing remarkably fast. I have been unable to give Mr. Reed an exact scale as to their projected growth patterns. The growth is erratic at times, and has given me difficulty in my pursuit of answers. I do know the causing factor but not what stimulates the escalated growth and aging factors. At this point all results on my studies of the six day old children are indicating they are 5-6 earth weeks in age. ::shakes head:: I understand Mr. Reed's concerns about the aging. As a parent myself I shudder to imagine what it would be like to have to face the fact that I would outlive any of my children during a normal lifespan for each of us. As for the children themselves they seem to be adjusting quite well with the rapid development. They are already showing individual personalities in their actions. Henry seems to be inquisitive, with his poking and grabbing at things trying to check out everything, Heh such the little explorer he is.. Charlotte on the other hand has her own agenda...and at times I think she would be totally bewildered if things were not done exactly as she expected them to be. I venture to say she will turn out to be the leader bossy little thing that gets things accomplished in that pair. Computer pause..... ::sips tea and sits back and thinks about next entry:: Computer resume log, My records will also indicate an official reprimand to Crewman Nightnurse's file. I have spoken to her directly concerning the recent incident in which she did not follow my instructions in Mr. Tanner's care plan. I acknowledge that I had been trying to handle his case directly. But she should have explained my absence and administered his daily dosage of medication before he was allowed to run off. I hope the emotional trauma he suffered will not be an obstacle in getting him better and back to work soon. I have another session planned for him this evening, I imagine I will find out at that time. I should also speak with Mr. Rostov again after my session with Tanner. I need to see how he is holding up. 12:42 am - Why do I even bother? ooc: Immediately after this thread....... ::watches as mal_reed leaves sickbay. ::begins straightening up equipment used for scans and such on Mal and babies:: ::checks around sickbay and verifies no one else is around:: ::presses button to record log entry:: Lt. Commander Reed finally came in for his check-up after a great deal of persuasion on my part. His gift for avoidance is normally impressive, but today he was in record shattering form. I had to inform him quite strenously that these evasive tactics of his were not in his or the children's best interests. His distraction by the telepathy was most disturbing to me and should have been to him as well. ::remembers discussion:: Mr. Reed your actions this morning were not what I would expect from a person that is about to bring two lives into this universe. Do you not realize you have to be everything for these children when they arrive? You will have to become more in control of yourself and your hormones for the sake of your children. Not to mention for the sake of the people you serve with on this ship. Have you forgotten we are on a mission? Really I have tried repeatedly to give you leeway in your behavior but there are limits to even my looking the other way. I am aware the circumstances concerning their conception has been very difficult for you to deal with but regardless of that they are coming and you will have to get yourself together and be a father to them. You and no one else can do that. ............Yes I know Captain Archer plans to be there and assist you but right now they are in your body...and you alone have to be concerned with their health and safety. You aren't getting enough rest, you are barely eating properly, and even though I said you could have sexual relations. I think the word moderation was left out of our previous dicussions on that matter. ::continues with log entry:: After getting back my scan results on the children it seems they have grown a considerable amount in a short time. They show to be the equivalent of 28 weeks gestation. Mr. Reed will have considerable discomfort from now until the children are delivered I fear. His body structure isn't equipped to handle this type load for one child not to mention two. I have offered to give him what I can to help with the pains but he declined my assistance of course. As for this telepathy situation it has affected more than just the Captain and Malcolm. Though none quite as severe as them. Having now seen the brain scans from Malcolm as well I have developed a theory and I believe I have come upon a solution that will end these intrusions into one anothers thoughts. 11:51 pm - Is anyone in their right mind? Computer log:: Have been informed by several crewmembers of strange telepathic/empathic behaviors. I first saw evidence of it with Captain Archer and Lt. Commander Reed. I am now attempting to determine how these occurances are interlinked. Who is affected and in what way. It does not appear to be widespread. It seems to be limited to individuals that were planetside during shoreleave. This is extremely unusual and I hope to ascertain the cause and concurrant remedy in short order. I also need to find some way for Mr. Reed to be able to tolerate the babies growth without as much pain as he is encountering. 05:56 pm - Sickbay's office ::sits quietly at desk after jonathan_archer and mal_reed have departed:: ::glances through window sees liz_cutler pull curtain around biobed _mckenzie_ rests on:: ::thinks:: I almost thought she was going to wake up today. ::composes report:: Sickbay twenty four hour log No injuries reported from any departments. Corporal Mackenzie remains comatose. The infection that was in her system is slowly dissipating as she responds to latest treatment. I have great hopes in her full recovery. I am continuing to allow Miss Cutler to attend to her hygiene needs. Need I comment on Liz's propensity to bathe? I have released Lt. Cmdr. Reed from sickbay and will continue his therapy on an outpatient basis. In the meantime I intend to go over the intense physical scans that I took since his return from the "other Enterprise". Computer end log ::pulls up mal_reed's most recent scans:: ::studies each scan.......full body....deep scans:: ::stops on certain area.........studies....switches screens....localizes on one ...certain...area...:: Oh my.....this is unexpected. ::checks lab reports:: Lytes, CBC, TSH, liver profile, all normal...except drug profile.......hmmmmm. They thought it wouldn't show? Or maybe they didn't care if it showed now..... 05:36 pm - Memo to Archer, Captain Jonathan Captain, This is to inform you that Lt. Commander Reed is now under strict psychiatric evaluation in sickbay. He agreed to this willingly and so I recommend no guards or restrictive measures be enacted at this time. He has also requested to have no contact with anyone other than myself during his stay in sickbay. I have agreed to this request and ask your cooperation in informing the senior staff concerning this matter. 12:52 am - Internal memo from Dr. Phlox..... To Archer, Captain Jonathan, CC:Tucker III, Commander Charles, Daily sickbay status report: Captain Archer was released from sickbay after his encounter with another PIF. This one ocurred after the other Enterprise suddenly appeared beside us. The Captain's current status: active duty. Although I would strongly recommend that he be in the presence of others should another PIF materialize. Lieutenant Commander Reed is now officially on active duty. Retroactive to the time he had to take command of the bridge. His physical injuries have healed well. I am still concerned for his mental state and will so note in my official logs. I believe he should still be under phsychiatric observation . Crewman Kelly reported to sickbay in severe respiratory distress. Upon examination she was found to have a spontaneous pneumothorax. I have treated her injuries and she is recovering in sickbay, Her condition is serious but stable. **I would also like to add that her injuries are directly related to a sparring match she had with Major Hayes in the gym 2 days ago. She reported here with her upper body covered in bruises and told me Major Hayes had caused these injuries during that match. I have spoken with Major Hayes concerning this matter.** ***I would like to discuss this with you Captain as well at your earliest convenience.*** Crewman Nightnurse was injured in a fall while doing her duties in sickbay. She has injured her back and will be off duty for the next three days. During this time Ensign Cutler will be covering her shift. I have made the adjustments to the schedule.
